Camping

The best opportunities for camping are available through backpacking and horsepacking. This allows visitors nearly unlimited access to this expansive wild landscape. There are no developed campgrounds or recreational facilities within the greater Blue Eagle region. The dirt roads surrounding and cherrystemed roads within provide access for dispersed or boondock vehicle camping and access to day trips into the Wilderness. Be forewarned that the multitude of "roads" shown in atlases and on GPS navigational layers often do not exist, or are in such poor shape that they are impassible to most vehicles and/or are excessively abusive to 4x4 vehicles, drivers, and passengers. See the Nevada Explorer Resources tab for more information about backcountry travel and safety.
