There is developed camping and lodging available in Baker and Ely. Dispersed vehicular camping or boon docking is available along the designated dirt roads surrounding the Highland Ridge Wilderness and at several opportunities along the Murphy Wash and Big Springs Wash designated cherry stem roads into the Wilderness area. These roads are not regularly maintained and may become impassible in the winter and after precipitation events. Backpacking or horse packing will open-up a multitude of camping options throughout this 68,623-acre Wilderness and provide access to remote, scenic, and spectacular backcountry settings.
