This is BIG! After years of hard work, the Wild Washoe bill, officially known as the Truckee Meadows Public Lands Management Act, was introduced in Congress January 16th, 2024! Unlike previous versions, Senator Jacky Rosen’s bill includes nearly a MILLION acres of new conservation designations for much of northern Washoe County. Now that’s what we’re talking about!
