Weedy Wednesday!
Come out to Mt Rose Wilderness with us on May 11th and become a Weed Warrior! The invasive Musk thistle has taken over parts of Mt Rose wilderness and needs to be stopped, they grow at an exponential rate out-competing native plants, and we need your help fighting back! Invasive species are detrimental to the ecosystem, they decrease biodiversity by competing with native plants, reduce wildlife habitat, and increase fire danger. We will start at the Hunter Creek Trailhead, hike to the project site, and use shovels and gloves to remove the Musk thistle. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in a beautiful place!
