Join Friends of Nevada Wilderness' spring monitoring program in southern Nevada. This afternoon training will involve some hands on monitoring practice and a brief discussion about the importance of springs and how the data we collect will contribute to management decisions. We expect to be hiking 1.5 miles round trip, some of which will be off trail and on steep, uneven terrain.
You'll need to bring sunscreen, water, and a snack for yourself and wear long pants and sturdy shoes. We'll bring all of the monitoring equipment and a good time!
