Summer is coming and it's time to take our hiking adventures to the cooler, elevated slopes of Mt. Charleston. We're excited to re-initiate the Volunteer Spring Monitoring Program again this summer and we need your help!
Bring a picnic lunch and join us at Deer Creek Picnic Area to talk about this year's goals for the Volunteer Spring Monitoring Program. We will set up outing dates and volunteers can select which springs they want to monitor over the summer. With over 200 springs in the Spring Mountains it's a huge task to visit them all and we can't wait to get started!
Additionally: We will arrive at the Deer Creek Picnic Area pull off earlier in the morning to monitor the springs around the picnic area. Anyone is welcome to join us. Get a hold of Jesy for more information.
