Friends of Nevada Wilderness is currently seeking applicants for the following positions:
For the intrepid outdoors folk, Friends of Nevada Wilderness in partnership with the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, is recruiting eight full-time trail crew members to maintain trails in central and northeast Nevada. We are offering the adventure of lifetime, and of course, competitive wages! If you want to spend your summer in some of Nevada’s most rewarding and rugged territory we want you to apply for our crew.
Seasonal AmeriCorps Conservation Program Assistant positions: You can assist and lead a variety of conservation projects throughout Nevada’s backcountry with our Northern Nevada stewardship team. This is a great opportunity for those looking to start a career in conservation or related fields.
We are also hiring for 3 seasonal AmeriCorps positions in the rugged and beautiful Sheldon National Wildlife Refuge. Housing and food is provided for Sheldon crew, and the term (5/30 through 8/15) will be spent living on the refuge.
Administrative Technician: The Northern Nevada office located in Sparks is seeking a part time administrative technician. We offer a flexible schedule for this part time position, 15 to 25 hours per week, and a health insurance stipend. This is a great fit for anyone trying to build their resume in nonprofit administration, who wants to work for a land management agency one day, or who needs a passion project to complement their school or other part time work.
Director of Development: This position will entail implementing and managing a comprehensive development program focused on growing a base of foundation, corporate and individual support, including overseeing a growing membership program. The Director will also be responsible for managing an on-line giving program that includes web presence and solicitations. This position may be structured as a traditional employee or an independent contractor.
