Birding on the Rocks
Join Friends for our February Wild Speaker Series: "Birding on the Rocks" in an online Zoom presentation.
On Thursday, February 3rd, we'll be discussing birding in Southern Nevada - and specifically birding in popular climbing locations! We will be joined by The Audubon Society's Alex Harper, who will speak about some of the familiar and unique birds found across popular climbing locations and wilderness areas across the state, how to find them, and how the birds are faring in a changing climate.
Join us at The Pad Climbing for our return to in-person Wild Speaker Series talks! We're excited to finally flock together with our Speaker Series community once again. If you will not be able to attend in-person or you have been tuning in from other places, worry not! We will be broadcasting the talk live on our Facebook and YouTube accounts. If you would like to tune in virtually, you can do so on our YouTube Live here: https://youtu.be/KwFOoL22Hko
We'll wrap up with a Q&A session to answer all your questions about birding! This will be an informative chat for the whole family!
Every first Thursday of the month at 7pm, Friends of Nevada Wilderness hosts a local environmental expert for folks who are interested in the outdoors to learn more about hikes, local habitat, and ways to get involved with conservation efforts.
