Wild Speaker Series: The Art of Nature

The Art of Nature

Join Friends for our August Wild Speaker Series: "The Art of Nature" on Thursday, August 4th at 7PM!

How can art connect us to the wild places we may never have the chance to visit? Find out when you join us for our August Wild Speaker Series featuring artist-activist Alli Harvey! Alli will be discussing how she uses art to bring her favorite subject - Wild Nevada, of course! - into our homes, and exploring how all people regardless of income, physical abilities, or time can find peace by connecting with the art of nature.

“I feel that having a sense of connection with the world and each other makes our lives richer, and by extension, the world a better place.”

Alli will also be unveiling her a new one-of-a-kind Nevada original painting based on a photograph capturing the wildest depths of Nevada. Painting from her mobile Airstream studio, Alli brings vibrancy into our everyday lives through bright, precise acrylic on canvas landscape paintings.

We will wrap up the evening with a Q&A to answer all your questions!  This will be an informative chat for the whole family!

Every first Thursday of the month at 7pm, Friends of Nevada Wilderness hosts a local environmental expert for folks who are interested in the outdoors to learn more about hikes, local habitat, and ways to get involved with conservation efforts.
