Wild Speaker Series

Thomas Valencia is an Education & Outreach Specialist with the National Park Service at Lake Mead National Recreational Area. On November 2nd, he'll give a presentation on unique places to see when Hiking Lake Mead NRA.

As temperatures cool down in the desert, many people are seeking new adventures outdoors with their family and friends. Even though the water at the lake may be too cold to swim in, there is still much to do and see at Lake Mead Nat'l Recreation Area. Thomas will cover some of the many interesting hikes Lake Mead has to offer during our next installment of the Wild Speaker Series. Come out and learn about historical sites and beautiful trails to hike at Lake Mead NRA. Find out why Lake Mead is called "America's Most Diverse National Recreation Area."

We'll see you there!

Friends of Nevada Wilderness is hosting a monthly meeting the first Thursday of every month and we're calling it our Wild Speaker Series! This is a great way for folks who are interested in conservation to learn about current issues. Arrive at 6:45 to socialize and snack before the presentation at 7 pm. Please join us at REI Boca Park every first Thursday for a new speaker every month!
