Jose Witt is the Southern Nevada Director for Friends of Nevada Wilderness and an avid backpacker with extensive knowledge of Nevada's public lands. On September 7th, he'll give a presentation titled, Friends' Favorite Hikes in Nevada.  

Nevada is one of the few places that can still be considered the "Wild West". With over 60 wilderness areas located in our state, before adventurers run out of potential places to visit, they may be overwhelmed on exactly where to start. Don't worry, Jose will lay out a number of these beautiful remote (and not so remote) areas detailing the landscape, wildlife, trails and recreation options each has to offer. Get ready for an interactive chat about Wild Nevada and how you can get out and enjoy these pristine areas.

Friends of Nevada Wilderness is hosting a monthly meeting the first Thursday of every month and we're calling it our Wild Speaker Series! This is a great way for folks who are interested in conservation to learn about current issues. Arrive at 6:45 to socialize and snack before the presentation at 7 pm.
