Jim Boone will discuss popular hikes around Las Vegas to explore during the winter months.  It'll be a short presentation and a guided tour through his website BirdandHike.com.  While we talk about where to go hiking this season we will also be recycling old Wild Nevada Calendars.  If you've got old calendars (any old calendar will do) bring them to the December Wild Speaker Series where we will recycle them into greeting cards, just in time for the holidays.! You can also pick up the new 2017 calendar, or a few for gifts!

Friends of Nevada Wilderness is hosting a monthly meeting the first Thursday of every month and we're calling it our Wild Speaker Series! This is a great way for folks who are interested in conservation to learn about current issues. Arrive at 6:45 to socialize and snack before the presentation at 7 pm. Please join us at REI Boca Park every first Thursday for a new speaker every month!
