It’s time for the annual Wilderness Wingding! Friends of Nevada Wilderness is busy
planning the 2019 event when we honor the hundreds of
members and volunteers who contribute their valuable time and energy to stewarding our public
lands. The annual celebration will feature great food, live music, and some amazing raffle and silent
auction items.
The western-themed 2019 Wilderness Wingding will be held starting at 5:30 pm, Friday, Dec. 6, at the
California Building in Idlewild Park, 2055 Idlewild Drive in Reno.
The public at large is invited to come
to learn more about Friends and the stewardship work we do to help keep our wild lands healthy and
accessible to the public. Donations of $15 per person at the door will be appreciated!
“The stewardship work we do to protect our special wild places and improve public access simply
would not be possible without our dedicated volunteers,” said Friends Executive Director Shaaron
Netherton. “They give so much back to the public lands we all own. This event is our way of saying
thank you, we appreciate you, and we look forward to seeing you back out on the trails in 2020.”
