We need your help to make our 2023 Wilderness Wingding a huge success! 

Our annual Wilderness Wingding volunteer appreciation party will be held on December 15th, at the Wilbur D May Center, and we are seeking your help to personally thank each of our volunteers and partners. Friends could not accomplish its work without the hundreds of dedicated volunteers who join us on stewardship projects across the state. 

Volunteering at the Wingding is a fun way to be a part of the event and support our stewardship program. We have all kinds of jobs to fit your unique skills! We need passionate people to help! 

Volunteer shifts will begin at 4 pm, with the party starting at 5:30. Shifts typically last for no more than half of the event. Thank you so much for your interest in helping to make this party a success!

Volunteer Shifts Available - please email us at [email protected] if you have a preference for one of these jobs

Set-up: 4:00 - 5:30 (unload trucks, put up tables & chairs, set-up decorations, set-up silent auction and raffle areas, etc)

Bar and/or food: 5:00 - 9:00 (multiple shifts available, prep area for the party, serve guests food or drinks, chat with folks, maintain food & safety precautions, restock items, etc) 

Greeting table: 5:00 - 9:00 (welcome guests, take donations, encourage folks to become FNW members, answer questions about the organization)

Raffle/Silent Auction: 5:00 - 9:00 (multiple shifts available, sell raffle tickets, monitor silent auction, answer questions, help draw raffle tickets, help distribute prizes to winners)

Take-Down: 8:45 - 10:00 (put away tables and chairs, sweep, pack-up decorations, load items into trucks, be forever regarded as a hero to FNW staff)
