Springs Monitoring Intro to Spring Snails and More!

Chantal and Corey Lange from the BLM look for Spring Snails at Red Rock

Springs are home to many species that live nowhere else on Earth. One group of organisms of particular concern are spring snails, a type of freshwater mollusk. They may be tiny, but they're very important to the ecosystem and their numbers are dwindling. Our partners at the Spring Stewardship Institute are hosting a quick, two-hour virtual webinar about these and other important freshwater mollusks in Nevada! If you're interested in being part of the Spring Monitoring Volunteer program, this is a great opportunity to learn more about our unique Nevadan animals and how to find them!

RSVP below and you will receive and email with the link to register.
