Lovell Canyon is a well visited portion of the Spring Mountains NRA nestled below Griffith Peak and behind Red Rock Canyon NCA. Visitor use ranges from shooting and riding OHVs to hiking and viewing wildlife.  Road 45540 off of Lovell Cayon road provides easy access to Rainbow Mountain Wilderness.  Unfortunately, it is being inappropriately extended into the Wilderness.  

Volunteers will spend a few hours naturalizing the end of this road to discourage continued incursion into Wilderness. The site is at a higher elevation among the juniper trees and pinion pines, providing some shade and escape from the extreme valley heat.  Details will be provided to people who RSVP the week of the event.  Come join us, it will be a beautiful day to Show Lovell Canyon some Love!
