Planting at the Desert Refuge

DNWR_Planting_130330_jwitt_003_low.jpgJoin Friends at the Desert National Wildlife Refuge as we work with Refuge staff to plant native plants around Corn Creek.  The Refuge has undergone many changes recently and intends to keep up the momentum.  On April 5th, volunteers will plant native Prince's plume and screwbean mesquite trees where invasive trees have recently been removed.  We will provide plants, tools, gloves, hard hats, drinking water, and additional snacks.

This is an event for all ages!  Bring children 5 years and older to learn about native plants.  After the event your welcome to wander through the newly constructed Visitor Center to learn more about the protected species on the Desert Refuge.
