Pah-Rum Peak, with its expansive views of the Smoke Creek Desert to the northwest, the Black Rock Desert to the northeast and Pyramid Lake to the south, has become one of the hike leader's favorite day hikes. The hike is about 6 mi RT with 2600' of elevation gain. Pah-Rum Peak is the high point in the Fox Range WSA and we'll learn more about its prospects for full Wilderness status.
