Celebrate your public lands! Join Friends of Nevada Wilderness, Friends of Black Rock-High Rock, and the BLM to celebrate our Public Lands by giving back!
This year we will be continuing efforts to protect the threatened Desert Dace, a fish species that lives only in the hot waters of Soldier Meadows and nowhere else in the world!
The 3rd Annual Desert Dace Days includes a campout, multiple service projects, a kids camp for children 5 and older, and a Dutch oven cook-off. This free event will also include breakfast provided (including hot coffee!) by Friends of Nevada Wilderness Saturday and Sunday mornings. Volunteer projects include Desert Dave habitat restoration, water quality monitoring, and cleanup of the public Soldier Meadows Cabin and Campground.
And as always, there will be delicious food, fun company, and fantastic views!
