This is the sign-up page for the second Mt Rose Seed Spreading event of fall 2022. Please read the details below and thanks for your interest in volunteering! 

Details:

Time: Meet at 9 am. We should be finished by mid-afternoon

Location: Hunter Creek Trailhead

What to Bring: A backpack with 2+ liters of water, snacks/lunch, sturdy hiking shoes, rain jacket, a warm layer, and enough room in your bag for carrying up to 10 lbs of seeds (the seeds will take up about the room of a sleeping bag or a big puffy jacket)

The Work: The hardest part of the work is hiking and carrying the seeds. We will hike 1.5 miles on the trail, cross the creek, and then hike up and down a steep hill. In total, we will hike about 4 miles the whole day. Some of the hiking will be off-trail up and down steep terrain. The seeds will weigh up to 10 lbs for each person.
