Mt Moriah Fence Removal

Friends of Nevada Wilderness and volunteers will work with the Ely Ranger District of the U.S. Forest Service on a restoration project directly improving wildlife habitat. Working together, volunteers will remove unnecessary barbed wire fencing from Silver Creek in the Mt Moriah Wilderness. Barbed wire fence fragments wildlife habitat, traps lowing flying birds like the Sage Grouse, and is impassable to the free-roaming Pronghorn Antelope.

For those who have never been to Mt Moriah Wilderness - this is a great opportunity to see one of the most beautiful and wild mountain ranges in Nevada.

*Due to the distance of this project (it's almost in Utah) this will be a 4-day project leaving Friday morning and returning Monday afternoon*
