Help Restore the Desert!
Join us this fall for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in restoring native ecosystems and enhancing wildlife habitats! After the 2005 Duzak fire devastated nearly 300,000 acres, invasive grasses quickly took over the burn area, threatening local wildlife. In response, the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) initiated a restoration project, focusing on planting native shrubs and wildflowers to reclaim the land.
Now, we invite you to be a part of this vital effort. Native plants provide crucial food and shelter for wildlife, offering relief from the scorching summer heat. Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or new to lending a hand, this project offers a rewarding experience for everyone. Join us as we continue the journey of planting and nurturing these essential plants back into our ecosystem!
