Join us on this very special day as we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through service on public lands. We'll be working at Corn Creek at the Desert National Wildlife Refuge to pull invasive weeds. Our efforts will promote the success of the thousands of native plants volunteers planted in the years prior, which will in turn promote habitat for wildlife. Get ready to kneel, get muddy and have a great time!
You'll want some good shoes, pants and a jacket to keep you warm in the morning. We'll provide snacks and water to keep you going. The event will wrap up around noon, but you are more than welcome to stick around and hike the beautiful trails that surround this desert oasis. The trails will give you a glimpse into the deep historical roots of the area and the serenity of this awesome place.
