The Bureau of Land Management in the Carson City District is in the middle of their land use planning process and is asking the public to comment on their recently released draft Resource Management Plan. This plan, once established, will guide how our 4.8 million acres of public lands will be managed for the next couple decades; therefore, it is critical that the public gets involved in the process, especially concerning protective management for lands with wilderness characteristics.
We're hosting an informal open house at our office in Sparks to answer your questions about the Resource Management Plan process, discuss the areas up for consideration, and provide a quick tutorial on how to submit your comments that will be the most effective in protection of our wild lands. Of course, what's a gathering at our office without some fun, friends, and food so we're having a pizza party! Feel free to bring a side dish to share if you'd like; otherwise, just bring your friends and family!
