Dec. 3, 2025 - A big Friends shoutout to Nevada Representatives Steven Horsford and Susie Lee and the rest of the Bipartisan Public Lands Caucus for their recent endorsement of the Public Lands in Public Hands Act!

The legislation, reintroduced in the House this year by Republican Ryan Zinke of MT and Democrat Gabe Vasquez of NM, aims to keep public lands under the management of federal agencies with input from local communities and prevent massive sell-offs of public lands.

Representative Vasquez said he grew up hunting, fishing and camping on public lands. “Those experiences shaped who I am today”, he said. “These lands don’t belong to one party or to a handful of wealthy interests – they belong to all of us. This endorsement is a meaningful step as the Public Lands Caucus works to ensure our lands stay in public hands for generations to come.”
