Help spruce up Mt. Charleston before the busy summer season by joining us for the 9th annual GO Mt Charleston Spring Cleaning!
Every winter, thousands of visitors flock to the Spring Mountains to play in the snow. Unfortunately, as the snow melts and wildflowers begin popping up, so does unsightly litter. In past years, volunteers picked up the normal cans, bottles and broken sleds, but have also hauled out a car muffler, abandoned hardware, old tires, and more. Each year, over 3000 pounds of debris are removed - we need all the help we can get.
Following the litter pick up, we will be treated to a volunteer barbecue with live music!!
GO Mt Charleston Spring Cleaning is brought to you by the US Forest Service and non-profit partners serving the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, including Southern Nevada Conservancy, Friends of Nevada Wilderness, and the Great Basin Institute.
