Forest Service Earth Day Celebration!

Smokey Bear is asking for our help!! The Forest Service is putting on an Earth Day party full of interpretive booths and presentations, food vendors, ornament decorating and of course an appearance from Smokey the Bear! They have asked Friends of Nevada Wilderness to help with traffic control and parking direction for visitors. 

Information:

What: Earth Day Celebration parking attendants

Where: Spring Mountains Visitor Gateway

When: Saturday April 19th from 11am-4pm

Why: To support the Forest Service and provide an opportunity for the community to learn and connect with nature

What to expect: The party starts at noon, but we ask that you get there at 11 to sign in with Tyler at the Friends of Nevada Wilderness table so you can get your safety vest and instructions. If you'd like to get food from one of the food vendors, it would be best to do so at the beginning of the day. We will provide safety vests and instructions for the day. Make sure to bring water, sun protection, and comfortable shoes.
