In response to unprecedented attacks on public lands, Friends launched our Legal Defense Fund to protect spectacular wild intact landscapes, significant cultural resources, important wildlife habitat, and other resources threatened by development or privatization. We filed our first lawsuit in May 2025 to try to move the Greenlink West line and the associated industrial solar development out of our proposed Esmeralda/Fish Lake Area of Critical Environmental Concern. We know other fights are coming and we need to be ready.
