Explore this little known and beautiful area in the Desatoya Mountains. We'll be hiking up the Big Den Creek canyon, past the waterfall (yes, waterfall!) to Big Den Spring. About 5-6 mi RT and 1500-2000' elevation gain. This is part of the Desatoya Mountains Wilderness Study Area (WSA) and we'll learn about Friends of Nevada Wilderness perspective on the possibility of becoming a full-fledged Wilderness Area with their recent sage-grouse campaign.
