Please join Friends of Nevada Wilderness and the BLM Applegate District for a family-friendly weekend filled with fun activities and unbelievable stargazing!

When: August 6th - August 7th
Friday, August 6th: Chanel your inner Bob Ross during a Dark Sky Painting Class hosted by the BLM's Jen Rovanpera in the afternoon, and then test your knowledge of the night at Dark Sky Trivia Night in the garden at Country Hearth.
Saturday, August 7th: Explore the Dark Sky Science Fair in the Country Hearth Garden in the afternoon, and then head on over to the Surprise Valley Hotsprings grounds after 8:30pm for a night of star-gazing, telescopes, fun activities, and an astrophotography lesson for those interested in capturing the night sky through a photographers lens. Photographers of all levels are welcome but must bring their own camera and tripods.
Citizen astronomers are welcome! Bring your telescope, your knowledge of the night sky, and your enthusiasm to teach... and learn!
