Join Friends of Nevada Wilderness for Northern Nevada's first stewardship event of the season. We will be partnering with the BLM's California Surprise Field Office to plant seedlings in the area that was affected by the Coleman Fire. The Coleman Fire burned approximately 15,000 acres in July of 2014. We will be planting bitterbrush and sagebrush to help restore wildlife habitat and winter forage. This event is dependent upon weather and will be cancelled if there is a decent amount of precipitation.
