Leave No Trace Outdoor Skills and Ethics Workshop

The Subaru/Leave No Trace Team is hosting a Leave No Trace Outdoor Skills and Ethics Workshop at Rosewood Nature Area(6800 Pembroke Drive, Reno, NV 89502) January 11th at 4:00pm. This class is open to everyone and is suitable for all outdoor enthusiasts both seasoned and novice alike. 

The Subaru/Leave No Trace Teams provide proven, research-based skills and education for getting outside in an environmentally sustainable way. Topics in this hands-on, interactive workshop include:

  • Overview of Leave No Trace principles and ethics, including both the hows and whys behind the importance of practicing Leave No Trace.

  • Leave No Trace practices that protect the outdoors while minimizing our impacts to the land, soil, vegetation, water, wildlife, and other visitors.

  • Tools and techniques to further define your outdoor ethic.

  • Leave No Trace guidelines to practice, promote and share whether in the backcountry, frontcountry or your favorite local parks and natural areas.

COVID precautions will be in place, and all participants will be required to wear a mask.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in.
