The 2019 Wilderness Wingding is Here!

It’s time for Friends of Nevada Wilderness most anticipated yearly event, the annual Wilderness Wingding! Join us December 6th from 5:30pm-9:30pm at the California building in Idlewild Park for Nevada’s premiere conservation celebration.

This is our opportunity to celebrate and thank all of our amazing volunteers.Friends of Nevada Wilderness is a volunteer driven organization, we couldn’t do the work we do without the support and hard work of our volunteer corps. From trail maintenance, noxious weed removal, renaturalizing, replanting, metal garbage removal, and helping with outreach events, our volunteers work hard every year to make our special state even more beautiful and more resilient.

“The stewardship work we do to protect our special wild places and improve public access simply would not be possible without our dedicated volunteers,” said Friends Executive Director Shaaron Netherton.  “They give so much back to the public lands we all own. This event is our way of saying thank you, we appreciate you, and we look forward to seeing you back out on the trails in 2020.”

This year will feature loads of outstanding raffle prizes and silent auction deals, just in time for the holidays, including art from your favorite Artown artists like Amy Shannon, Katherine Case, and some house made prints from Nora, Chris, and Kat! Live music from local favorites, the Sierra Sweethearts and Friends, will fill the halls as we enjoy delicious dinner and desserts from J. Craig Demetras, Homage, Mari Chuys, La Vecchia Ristorante Italiano, and Laughing Planet. Beer is generously being provided by Craft and wine from Red Rock Bar. Help us celebrate the highlights and victories of the 2019 season of community conservation. See you there!
