Area Description

The Mountain Meadow Natural Area, 22 acres, was evaluated in the regular statewide Initial Inventory and was found to clearly lack wilderness characteristics because of its size.  It was made an Instant Study Area because of its special status (Natural Area) as part of the wilderness review. It will remain an instant study area until Congress acts to release it.
