Help us protect this little corner of Wild Nevada! Jumbo Springs Wilderness is a small, remote region of rugged granite ridges that offers grand views of Lake Mead and the lower reaches of the Grand Canyon. We'll be restoring an illegal motorized route just outside of the Wilderness and repairing a vehicle barrier at the beginning of the route.
Located at the southern end of Gold Butte National Monument, getting to this project requires a lengthy drive (about three hours from Las Vegas) and a high-clearance, 4x4 vehicle. To make the most of it we'll do restoration on Saturday and Sunday, and camp out nearby Saturday night.
What You'll Need: For while we're working, wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a long-sleeve shirt and bring a water bottle and lunches for yourself. For overnight, bring everything you'll need to be set up camp for the night.
What We'll Have: A delicious camp dinner & desert, breakfast bar and coffee in the morning, plenty of water, and all of the tools, hard hats, and other gear we'll need to make a difference!
