The 2017 Dash for Trash is a desert clean-up project focused on the beautification of the Jean Dry Lake OHV area. Located adjacent to the South McCullough Wilderness, the wild character and cleanliness of this area directly impacts the pristine nature of our beloved wilderness area next door. In collaboration with The Mint 400, Outdoor Las Vegas Foundation and Republic Services, the Friends of Nevada Wilderness invites you out for a day in the dirt cleaning up Jean Dry Lake race courses.
This clean-up is designed to bring together a diverse array of user groups in the area to connect on our mutual love for these wild places while strengthening community relations between users. Please join us for this fun-filled outreach and stewardship day, delicious food, and raffle prizes courtesy of industry leading off-road companies. All volunteers will receive an official Dash for Trash t-shirt and entries into the raffle drawings that will have parts, accessories and industry swag.
The Friends of Nevada Wilderness believes in a unified community of users and would love for you to join us for this wild day in the desert! Be sure to come prepared with sunscreen and appropriate clothing for a day in the sun. See below for the project schedule, be sure to RSVP and please contact Nicholas Scritchfield with any questions or for more information at [email protected] or (715) 220-7974.
