The Wow of Bird Colors
Join Friends for our March Wild Speaker Series: "The Wow of Bird Colors" on Thursday, April 6th at 7PM!
We will be joined by naturalist David Lukas, who will be giving the third talk of a four-part series about bird biology!
David Lukas will introduce us to the marvelous world of bird colors and patterns. Do you know how many types of colors there are on birds, and how these colors are produced? Did you know that humans and birds see colors in different ways and that birds use colors and patterns in a wide range of ecological and behavioral contexts? This will be a fun, and colorful, talk that leaves you never seeing birds the same way again.
We will wrap up the evening with a Q&A to answer all your questions! This will be an informative chat for the whole family!
This talk will be on April 6, 2023 at 7PM on Zoom! Please register at the link if you would like to attend: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZAkcO2uqDgtHtUwEvq63u-r9HzyM4kx8_2N
Every first Thursday of the month at 7pm, Friends of Nevada Wilderness hosts a local environmental expert for folks who are interested in the outdoors to learn more about hikes, local habitat, and ways to get involved with conservation efforts.
