Join us in the Black Rock Desert on Saturday, June 5th! This single-day project will involve maintaining/restoring the Steamboat Mountain Trail, cleaning up trash, and placing interpretive kiosk/signage in the area. Steamboat Mountain has a short, 0.25 trail up to the top, allowing visitors a panoramic view of the playa and surrounding mountain ranges. There will be no group camping trip associated with the project, but you are welcome and encouraged to camp out on your own. This will be a great project for those people looking for an excuse to get out and camp in the beautiful Black Rock Desert while spending Saturday morning giving back with a community of volunteers.
