It's National Get Outdoors Day!  Get outside and help protect the Truckee River watershed and wildlife habitat by removing noxious weeds from the Mount Rose Wilderness Area. For this trip, we are going to hike in 1.5 miles to work on removing musk thistle.  This site was worked on in May as part of the Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful's Great Community Clean Up, so a lot of thistles have already been pulled, but don't worry there are still quite a bit we need to remove.  

We will be hosting several volunteer events to pull noxious weeds. Join us on as many of these trips as you can.   These events are day trips in the Hunter Creek drainage of Mount Rose Wilderness. Contact Renee at [email protected] or call the office at 775-324-7667 for more information.
