Services, Getting There Getting there: From Ely, NV, travel about 30 miles southwest on US 6. Turn right (west) and follow the County Road 1163 (White River Campground road) 10 or 12 miles to access the southeastern portion of this wilderness. Alternate access route is to turn off from US 6 a couple miles earlier and follow County Road 1163 about 14 or more miles to access the eastern flanks of the wilderness. A third route: From US 50, about 45 miles west of Ely, turn south on FS Road 400 (just past the Illipah Reservoir) and connect with County Road 1163 after about 16 miles.
