Trails


Kingston Canyon Trailhead
The north end of the Toiyabe Crest Trail begins here.  The trail climbs rapidly into the Proposed Wilderness and up to the crest of the Toiyabe Range.

Washington Creek Trailhead
This trailhead provides access to the Washington Creek Trail, which climbs rapidly to intersect with the Toiyabe Crest Trail (TCT) in 2.5 miles.  

San Juan Campground
This trailhead provides access to a constellation of trails and two possible connections to the Toiyabe Crest Trail:
*South San Juan Trail (connects with the TCT) 
*North San Juan Trail (connects with the Cottonwood Trail) 
*San Juan Main Trail (connects with the TCT)

Marysville Canyon Trailhead
This trailhead provides access to the Marysville Canyon Trail, which is in very poor condition, connects with a lateral trial to New York and Mohawk Canyons to the south and eventually intersects with the Toiyabe Crest Trail (TCT) in 4.3 miles.

Ophir Summit Trailhead
This trailhead is the highest trailhead in the Toiyabe Range and provides direct access to the Toiyabe Crest Trail at an elevation of 10,124 feet on the crest of the range along the northern boundary of the Arc Dome Wilderness.  The Ophir Summit Road can be treacherous during inclement weather.
