Planting at Desert National Wildlife Refuge!

Join Friends of Nevada Wilderness for Fall Planting at the Desert National Wildlife Refuge! Corn Creek is one of the hidden treasures of Southern Nevada - a desert oasis bursting with life. We will spend our afternoon planting native plant species to help naturalize the area to its unique and beautiful Mojave Desert landscape. Since the event will wrap up in the early afternoon, volunteers will have plenty of time to explore the brand new Visitor Center and the surrounding area - even picnic if they would like!

What to Bring

Wear pants and a long sleeve shirt that you're comfortable getting dirty, and sturdy boots/shoes. Also bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a water bottle to refill, and a snack for yourself.

What We'll Have

We'll bring a good time! We'll also provide gloves, tools, plenty of water, snacks, and everything else we you will need to do the work. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email.
