Event Details

We will help the Fish & Wildlife Service remove parts of a fence used to study bighorn sheep in the wild. The study has been completed, and now the fence is inhibiting wildlife from roaming freely.

We need your help in removing fencing and t-posts which are about 2 miles away from any road.

We will be camping at the Pahranagat Wildlife refuge where we will provide a light breakfast and dinner for those who want to lend a hand.

Work on this project is strenuous since we will be hiking in 2 miles, picking up fencing material and hiking it out. This project is open to adults, seniors and groups.

Please be prepared to wear a long sleeve shirt, pants and sturdy hiking shoes. Other personal protective gear will be provided.

Please call Friends of Nevada Wilderness at (702) 839-5569 or Jose at (702) 203-1720 for more details and meet up information.
