Dark Sky Festival in Cedarville, CA

Friends in partnership with the BLM is hosting the Dark Sky Festival in Cedarville, CA the weekend of August 6th & 7th. Please join us in for a family friendly weekend filled with fun activities and stargazing!

On Friday, August 6th join us for a Dark Sky Painting Class and Trivia Night out in the garden of Country Hearth Restaurant Bakery and Gift Shop

Spend the day on Saturday, August 7th at our Science Fair from 12 to 3pm. We guarantee that adults and children will earn something new and have some fun at our Science Fair, hosted by our friends at the Country Hearth, don't forget to pop in and get yourself a maple bar!

Saturday evening is Astronomy Night at Surprise Valley Hot Springs. Activities for kids and adults begin at 8:30pm. Be ready to learn about one of the most unique, dark places in the world and be prepared to see some amazing stars, planets, moons and galaxies. Citizen Astronomers are WELCOME. Please come set up your telescope and share the view!

There will also be an opportunity to learn about Astrophotography from a skilled professional. Photographers of all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to bring their cameras. 

This is going to be a wonderful weekend and we can't wait to see you there!
