The Wild & Scenic Film Festival works with environmentally conscious groups across the globe to inspire activism in our local communities. We hope to use the festival to encourage a better community understanding of the connection we share with the planet and emphasize our role as stewards to keep it healthy for the next generations.
Why Friends of Nevada Wilderness
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is Friends of Nevada Wilderness' southern flagship fundraising event to further our mission of protecting and stewarding wilderness in Nevada. It's a place to meet like-minded outdoor enthusiasts, learn about local and global environmental issues, and support our efforts to get boots on the ground in our backyard wild places.

Wild & Scenic Film Festival Program
This year's Festival will be held at the Clark County Theater.

The reception at 5:30 is the best time to meet other community and environmentally focused nonprofit and business partners while you grab some dinner from the food truck on site. Grab a glass of wine or beer donated by local brewery in downtown Las Vegas Banger Brewing. You'll have to check out the generously donated raffle items all going to benefit the stewardship of wilderness in Nevada. Some of our favorites like Whole Foods, REI and Southwest Airlines have made raffle donations. The show begins at 6:30 with some great films...
Our Feature Film this year was produced by KEEN Footwear documenting their LIVE Monumental adventure last summer devoted to seeing 3 million acres of Public Lands protected as National Monuments. They traveled from the West Coast to the White House and highlighted 5 spectacular places along the way including Gold Butte! Take a look at the Trailer!
The campaign has been successful for 2 of the original 5 places and for the other 3, the campaign continues. Please take a moment to sign the petition to get these areas protected!
