Wilderness 50th Celebration!

Help us celebrate 50 years of Wilderness Legislation!

In 1964 Congress made a revolutionary decision to explicitly protect America's wild places.  Over those 50 years Americans have used the Wilderness Act to set aside over 109 million acres of Wilderness to be enjoyed by all people and future generations.

On Saturday September 6th at the South Loop trail head from 1 to 3 pm Friends of Nevada Wilderness will honor the 50th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act.  Join us for a potluck picnic and some wilderness birthday cake.  A special speaker will lead a discussion about Wilderness and this significant milestone.  Share your passion for Wilderness and help us celebrate!

If you want to get your hands dirty we will host a trail maintenance project in the morning.  For event details click here.

For more information about this event contact Jesy (contact info below).  She'd love to hear from you!
