Santa Rosa Fall Seedling Planting #1, 2013

Friends of Nevada Wilderness, in partnership with the Santa Rosa Ranger District, will continue planting seedlings in areas of the Santa Rosa Mountain Range affected by the Tom Basin and Hanson Fires.  Please join us in the effort to plant sagebrush and bitterbrush seedlings.  Planting sagebrush and bitterbrush will help rehabilitate the burned landscape and provide important winter forage and habitat to native wildlife.  This event is dependent on weather as moisture is needed to help the seedling thrive.  The Santa Rosas are located about 40 miles north of Winnemucca, NV.  RSVP online or contact Renee at renee@nevadawilderness or 775-324-7667 for more information.
