Join us for a hike up to the high point of the Petersen Mountain Range that straddles the California-Nevada border just north of Reno. In addition to being on the Great Basin Peaks list (#86) this beautiful area has wilderness characteristics that should qualify it to be managed as such by the BLM. However, it is being left out of lands with wilderness characteristics consideration in the BLM's Resource Management Plan which is under review.
