Wilderness Stewards Help Wild Nevada
Friends of Nevada Wilderness organizes and leads trips to help restore and protect our Wilderness Areas and our public lands in Nevada. Working together, volunteers like you can:
Restore fire-scarred public lands by putting in native plants and remove fence that impedes wildlife migration...
Enjoy family-friendly projects and overnight trips into Nevada's backcountry...
Practice primitive skills like packing and hand-tool trail maintenance, all while investing sweat equity into your public lands here in Nevada...
Enjoy a meal with fellow volunteers, gaze at the Nevada night sky, make an archaeological discovery, and so much more!

Join us on one of the many wilderness trips throughout the state. Volunteers get to camp out and work with others to heal our wild places. These trips are fun, rewarding and can be a great way to meet new Friends. All volunteers are welcome! Every trip offers opportunities to contribute in less physically-demanding ways, such as: taking photos, writing and reporting, or just enjoying the beauty of wilderness.
We also offer many day trips for those who can't take a whole weekend, and outreach opportunities for those who want to help us spread the word on wilderness. So don't be shy--check out our calendar of events and sign up to volunteer today!
