Long Canyon Trail Work

Mt_Charleston__FletcherCnyn_UPStrailproject_130830_jwitt_008_(1).jpg

We’ll spend our afternoon in Long Canyon at the Desert National Wildlife Refuge. We will work to re-route the existing trail to protect the fragile cultural resources in the area. We will hike about 2-3 miles round trip, carrying tools to and from the work site.  This is a great opportunity to experience the special backcountry of Desert National Wildlife Refuge!

Please bring long a sleeve shirt and long pants, sturdy shoes, a hat, sunscreen, a water bottle, snacks and lunch. We will provide gloves, hard hats, tools and additional water and snacks. A high clearance 4x4 vehicle is required to access the project site.
